Independence Day Inspiration.

Jenny Collier does it again. I'm telling you, this girl knows how to throw a party. It's been a while since I've shared Jenny's {gorgeous} photography with you, and while I know the 4th has come and passed, I just could let the month go by without sharing a few of the fabulous details of Jen's Fourth of July extravaganza.
I love that Jenny has a banner for every occasion. {Did you see the precious printables she and the kiddos made up for Father's Day? Her creativity makes me heart go pitter-patter}.

There are so many fabulous elements to Jen's holiday decor, but I think this little side table here, might be my absolutely favorite. God bless America! The light just dances off the apothecary jars and the stars and stripes couldn't be more beautiful. This picture just screams summer to me.

Everyone can always use a little subway art around the house.

A few more apothecary jars {I love using apothecary jars for decor -- do you dig it as well?} - this time they're displaying fireworks and glow sticks. Such a cute idea.

I am love, love, loving the straw flags we've seen lately -- how appropriate that these straws have their own little stars & stripes waving proudly.

Oh snap! Don't forget to grab a favor on your way out.

Isn't it incredible what a little fabric and some ribbon can do for a display? {I should also mention that not only is Jenny an incredible mom to a two year old and a one year old, an entrepreneur with her husband, a photographer extraordinaire, a part of the dynamic duo reponsible for mamarazzi workshops, and a party planning phenomenon, she also painted, yes, I said painted, that gor-or-or-geous wall you see behind this table -- using a stencil she made herself! Martha Stewart, look out!}

I hope you enjoyed your Fourth of July holiday with a fun, festive event, too. Travis and I found ourselves driving to Tulsa from Edmond on the night of the fourth and couldn't have timed our drive better. The skies were lit from Sand Springs to Broken Arrow with professional displays and backyard shows. I think it was one of my favorite displays -- I wish I could have captured a few pictures to share with you.

more project 365 inspiration.

i never grow tired of following jenny collier photography. never. her photos are.to.die.for! to die for.

this year, she too, is participating in a version of project 365. while she's not committed to taking a picture every single day {though i would not be surprised if she does so anywway} she is tracking her families story throughout the year.

you can follow their journey on her blog.

i love how crisp and clean the images are with the retro type. swoon.

how is your project 365 coming along? are you sticking with it or running out of juice already?

hudson's first birthday.

as i was looking back at the past year and considering the things for which i am so thankful, my friend jen collier came to mind. she is such a talented individual, and she and her family bring so much love and light into my life.

i was thinking how quickly the year has passed and just how soon her son's second birthday will be here. i then realized that i never featured his first birthday party.

as always jen did a bang up job for her little one's special first birthday.

this "first birthday" set was purchased on etsy. {i've looked for the shop, but can't find the information. i'll add that information as soon as i confirm}. i don't know about you, but i think they are adorable!
jen made all of the fantastic details for the birthday party including the birthday banner, the pennant, the cupcake toppers, the favor stickers, and all other details seen throughout the event.

jen took a few pictures before the party, but wanted to be able to experience her son's birthday with him, so she hired the very talented shannon of imago vita photography.

a trip to the pumpkin patch.

i couldn't help but share the beautiful work of jenny collier photography once again. i can't imagine you mind -- how could anyone grow tired of looking at this talented gal's photos. i've been begging travis to take a trip with me to the pumpkin patch this year. even though we don't have kids, i would love to take a visit. you can just drink in fall when you're at the pumpkin patch. what's one of your favorite fall traditions?

a baby shower for amy & mackenzie.

my dear friend {and photographer} jenny collier hosted a baby shower for her long-time friend amy. i love attending any soiree jenny throws. she always has the best ideas for events and does so much of the work herself. while i wasn't at amy's shower, i wanted to show off jenny's creativity {and beautiful photography}.

all images copywright jenny collier photography. please contact jenny for permission to use any photos.

the invitation jenny used had a clothesline of baby clothes strung across it, so she incorporated the idea into the shower as well. the items on the line also doubled as gifts for amy's little girl mackenzie.
jen used amy butler paper for the shower decor. the coffee cups at the drink station were wrapped in the same paper to match.

seana hon designed the gorgeous cake. i've since had one of seana's cakes and would second jenny's recommendation of her services. the cakes are delicious and the price is always very reasonable.

i love that no detail misses jenny's eye. the past few years banners have been very popular at parties and jenny loves using them at her events. i love that this particular banner uses tiny clothespins to coordinate with the theme as well.

the favor's were joy's hope mason jar cupcakes that jenny made. the favor tags were made of the same amy butler paper that you've seen scattered throughout the shower.

if anyone knows how to throw a party and make a girl feel special, it's ms. jen. amy and mackenzie are lucky, lucky gals to have such a good friend willing to throw them such a spectacular shower. to see more pictures from the event, visit jenny's page

Mamarazzi of Tulsa.

If you haven't already attended a Mamarazzi of Tulsa workshop, you should definitely check one out. Two of Tulsa's very talented photographers, Jenny Collier and Ashley Thompson, began Mamarazzi of Tulsa after becoming mothers themselves. Jenny is one of my dear, dear friends and has such a talent for telling a story with her photography. Ashely and Jenny share this passion for capturing the story of their children {and yours} and created Mamarazzi to help other moms learn a few tricks of the trade to better capture their own children's stories.

Find more details about their upcoming workshop and get signed up quickly as space is limited.

If it's too late for you to book your spot, no worries; there will be more workshops to come. Add Mamarazzi of Tulsa to your Google Reader and stay up-to-date on their latest news.
