how did you & your groom ask your wedding party to stand beside you on your special day?

please won't you be ...
are you looking for a special way to ask your bridal party to celebrate in your special day? a local tulsa bride had us create a gorgeous 5x7 card to present each member of their wedding party. the bride wanted her entire stationery package to match, so for the very first piece created for this wedding, we incorporated the rich chocolate brown with a smooth, buttery coral.

everyone is getting maui'ed.
it has been the summer of hawaiian weddings! one of my dear friends, andy, was wed this year on the island of maui. this fall another client will be maui'ed as well. one of her bridesmaids approached me about creating a bridal shower invitation that would complement the coral and sand wedding invitation the bride had selected. we decided on a pineapple that was drawn in a similar fashion to the palm tree found on the bride's wedding invitation. i think this was one of my favorite invitations of the summer. the final invitation was actually printed on an ivory cardstock and mounted to a shimmer sand background. i. loved. it.

pretty in preppy.
do you remember the rock star play date cards from yesterday? well madison, not to be outdone by big sister jordan, ordered a set of cards to match her own special tastes. okay, madison is actually only a year or so; aunt kate was looking out for her and ordered madison a set of playdate cards. the colors are those found most frequently in little miss madison's wardrobe and mommmy swoons when she sees her little girl in paisley. this particular print is fun for little girls of all ages. this little girl might have to have her own set of cards with this cheerful pattern.

party like a rock star.
how fun are these play date cards?? they were designed for a little rocker named jordan. jordan lives in pennsylvania and is the star of her play group especially now that she has her own enclosure cards. these foldover cards are so helpful for the manager {mom}, too, because the inside of the card has jordan's name, her parents' names, all of their contact information, and the date and time of their next play date. it takes just a second to quickly jot down the time of the play date as jordan and her rocker friends chat in the pick up line. what rocker doesn't need her own calling card?

A Gift for All Seasons.
I don't have children at this time, but lately I've gotten so much inspiration from children's rooms, nurseries, storybooks, and blogs. I ran across this idea from Little Birdie Secrets and wanted to share with you.

Action Shots.
I actually do NOT like these pictures, but the one above is just too precious a picture of Connor not to post. He's my little helper and loves to be by my side no matter what I'm doing. If he had his way, he would be sitting in my lap all the time!
Andy captured these shots while I was working on her wedding invitations and insists that people like to see me in action, so because she insisted ...

Welcome {Back} to the Jungle!
My alma mater is preparing for the 10 year reunion of the class of 2000! (Remember when everyone was so afraid it would be madness and mayhem at the turn of the century? That was a decade ago).
The Tahlequah class of '00 will get together at the end of this month for reminiscing and strolling along memory lane. We designed these cute postcard invitations earlier this spring. The committee planning the reunion needed a cost-effective option that would allow them to get the word out about the upcoming party. The postscards were a nice option as they were still visually pleasing, but cost less than a traditional invitation and the postage that comes with a larger size package.
We later created these tickets that were mailed to alumists as they purchased tickets. The tickets include the weekend's schedule of events and will help track which activities have been paid for in advance.
HAPPY 10 YEARS CLASS OF 2000!

Twilight: Eclipse!
It took me a while, but I finally jumped on the Twilight bandwagon a few months ago. Travis and I never watched Twilight while it was in theaters, but decided to pick up the DVD one night while at the rental store. We both really enjoyed it and headed out to the theaters as soon as Twilight: New Moon opened. I love to read and considered reading the books for quite a while. I finally asked for them for my birthday in June. Travis gifted me with the entire boxed set ... and I could hardly put them down. I went from one book to the next in a matter of days. I had to force myself to put it down so I could take care of orders. I'm so silly but feel a kindredship with the characters.
In honor of the opening of Eclipse last night, I thought I would share a few of the quotations we created for a Twilight birthday party earlier this spring. Kate picked these quotes from the books; they're some of my favorites.
